Reference to Product Design
Ejector Mark
・Trace of ejector pin which push molded compacts out of mold.
Parting Line
・Slight print mark of mold separation. Usually the mold is designed so that the mark does not show up at an important part of the product.
Gate Mark
・The entrance of the material makes a slight mark, after the injection channel is removed.
Undercut
・Such obstacle part that sticks out perpendicular to the direction of mold is named “undercut”.The part may be formed by using sliding core mold. Undercut in a hole may be available with our special process.
Draft
・Small taper as much as 1 degree is preferable for easy take out of products. In some cases , such taper is not necessary.
Round Edge
・Inside corner and outside edge shall be rounded or chamfered as much as possible.
